Cu Chi Tunnels – Saigon

07 Aug

Meal Plan: Breakfast , lunch

After breakfast at the hotel, our guide and driver will pick you up for a trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels, one of the few remaining monuments to the Vietnam War.

Beneath the ground lie snaking runs of 200 km of tunnels, dug by hand and inhabited by the forces of the Vietnamese guerillas during the conflict. At its peak, prior to the Tet Offensive in 1968, the tunnel complex was base to almost 10,000 troops. To this day, it remains one of the most impressive examples of how fierce the war used to be, and how perseverant the Vietnamese were.

Following that experience, you’ll return to Saigon and head to District 5 to explore the Thien Hau pagoda and China Town (Binh Tay market; Quan Am pagoda; Herb street).

Lunch will be had at a local restaurant; dinner will be at own arrangement
