Day 1

Nuwara – Eliya


You will be picked up at the airport by your personal chauffeur guide and you will head out to Nuwara – Eliya.

On your way to Nuwara – Eliya you will be visiting,

  1. The Lankatilaka Vihara, this is an ancient Buddhist temple situated in Udunuwara of Kandy, Sri Lanka.
  2. Helga’s Folly, This hotel/art gallery/surrealist dream has to be the most extraordinary hotel in Sri Lanka. Indeed, the Stereophonics famously wrote the song ‘Madame Helga’ about the owner.
  3. Millennium Elephant Foundation,  (MEF) a family run non-government organization (NGO) which is dedicated to improving the welfare of domestic elephants throughout Sri Lanka. MEF was started in 1999 in memory of Sam Samrasinghe. Charity Number 457.
  4. Later in the afternoon you will attend to a city walk tour of Kandy which includes the Famous Temple Of The Sacred Tooth Relic. Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex which houses the relic of the tooth of Buddha.

After the tour and visits you will head to Nuwara – Eliya.

Day 2

Ella


After breakfast you will head out to Ella, but on your way you will visit the following places at Nuwara – Eliya.

  1. The Pedro Tea Factory where you will take a guided tour of the Tea Factory. And take part in a tea tasting experience at the end.
  2. Lake Gregory, This lake is popular with domestic tourists who enjoy strolling the footpaths, taking out a swan-shaped pedal boat or trotting around on a pony.
  3. Sita Temple,Colorful and extravagant in its design, Sita Temple allegedly marks the spot where Sita of the “Ramayana” fame was held captive by the demon king Rawana. The temple sits at the foot of a hill, approximately 1 km (0.62 mi) from Hakgala Botanical Garden.
  4. Horton’s Plains National Park, is a protected area covered by mountain grassland and cloud forest. This plateau at an altitude of 2,100–2,300 meters (6,900–7,500 ft.) and has been said by many to resemble the African savannah.

After the hike you will head to Ella.

Day 3

Ella


After Breakfast you will head out to Visit the following places with your guide at Ella.

  1. Lipton’s Seat – Lipton’s Seat, the famous viewpoint where Sir Thomas Lipton used to sit and contemplate his plantation with its stony landscape and green tea bushes.
  2. Dambethenne Tea Factory – You will attend in a tour at the tea factory, they demonstrations of the full process of tea making, from
    fermentation through to grading, with the difference lying in how engaging the guide makes the material.
  3. Little Adam’s Peak – Ella in Sri Lanka is a very well known worldwide for its breath-taking view and scenery, Little Adam’s Peak is just one of it.
  4. Ravana’s Fall – Waterfall shrouded in ancient mythology located just outside the laidback town of Ella. Although relatively small, this waterfall is visited by most tourists staying in the surrounding area, as there is the opportunity to bathe in the shaded plunge pool, or – in the dry season – to hike up to the top.
  5. Nine Arch Bridge – Located in Ella, the Nine Arch Bridge is one of the most iconic bridges in Sri Lanka and is a stunning example of the incredible engineering prowess behind the island’s railway system.

After the visits you will head back to the hotel.

You will be escorted to Colombo by your Chauffeur for your departure at the Colombo Airport.
