Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. Yala was designated as a wildlife sanctuary in 1900, The park is best known for its variety of wild animals and important for the conservation of Sri Lankan Elephants and aquatic birds. 

 

It is the home to number of mammals, wild boars, wild buffaloes, deer, bears, crocodiles and it has one of the highest leopard densities in the world.

 

Park opens at 6.00 AM and close at 6.00 PM (Tickets will not be issued after 5.00 PM)
